- Be well rested, and
drink plenty of water
in the day leading
up to the session.
- Avoid haircuts or
hairstyle changes within
one or two weeks of
your photo session.
- Excessive sun or
tanning salon visits
prior to your session
should be avoided;
a dark suntan may make
your face look oily.
What to wear:
- Choose collars and
necklines that frame
your face.
- Garments that are
medium to dark in tone
and are solid color
work best. Textures
can work well but not
patterns.
- Men should bring
a few dress shirts
(blues work best but
you might bring an
off-white or white)
and at least two ties
to choose from.
- Women should bring
solid color middle
tone or dark suit/pantsuit
and a few light color
shells or shirts that
work under the jacket.
- Wear your usual
hairstyle. Don't try
anything new. Make
sure your hair is styled
the way you want prior
to arriving for your
session.
- Avoid sleeveless
clothing and high-neck
clothing that will
obscure your neck.
- If you wear glasses,
ask your optometrist
if you can borrow a
pair without lenses.
That way there won’t
be any glare.
- Please avoid clothes
that wrinkle easily
or don't fit well.
Make-up
- Ladies, don't go
overboard on makeup.
Simple, clean, and
fresh is best—emphasize
eyes, lips, face shape.
When applying make-up,
pay special attention
to your eyes. That's
what people see first.
Eye shadow adds depth.
Stick to neutral shades
and avoid iridescent
colors.
- Bring your make-up
kit with you so you
can touchup as necessary.
- Gentlemen—a
light powder foundation
can reduce imperfections
and an oily appearance.
